No Friends
I punched in the numbers of Phoebe's house. As soon as I pushed the 'call' button, Phoebes helper answered. "Can I talk to Phoebe please?" I asked. "Sorry, Phoebe's not here," her helper said. "Ok, never mind, thank you, bye" I said without even taking a breath in the middle of those 3 words.
Right after I put the phone down, I realized that I forgot to ask if Phoebe was on vacation. I dialed her number again, feeling a bit sorry and rude to her helper for calling too much.
"Sorry, but is Phoebe on vacation?" I asked. "Yes, she is," her helper replied back, sounding a bit impatient. "Thank you," I said as I put the phone down.
Great, now I don't have anyone to play with, I thought.
Nice description. It sure is lonely when there is not many friends in Singapore.
